With winter upon us, it may seem like an odd time to discuss our Summer Course. However, with places limited and registration opening soon, let’s shift our thoughts for a moment to sunny days of fun activities, excursions and a language programme like no other.
On November 25th, Brillantmont kicked off the first ever Anti-Bullying Initiative in an effort to bring about awareness around issues related to bullying, to provide a forum for open discussion among the student body.
Extra-curricular activities form a large part of life at Brillantmont, offering students the chance to broaden their skills and knowledge, get involved in cultural experiences and to practice their sports skills.
When students at Brillantmont are not busy in classes, there are plenty of other things to keep them occupied. Throughout the year, the school organises a number of excursions that offer students the chance to improve their skiing techniques, learn more about culture, and try new experiences.
Switzerland has a long history of educational excellence, with pioneering educationalists such as Jean-Jacques Rousseau (pictured top-right), Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi (bottom-left) and Jean Piaget (bottom-right) all hailing from this influential country at the heart of Europe. Switzerland was also one of the first countries to adopt the teaching principles of Maria Montessori, principles that have now spread to schools throughout the world.
Lausanne is not only home to Brillantmont and its students, but also the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and hosts many exciting sporting events throughout the year. See world-class athletes in action in a range of different disciplines.
Yesterday, Brillantmont held its first live webinar with participants joining from as far afield as Japan, Turkey and Mexico.
