The boarding school year is about to end and summer school is just around the bend. The Brillantmont Summer Course is already nearly full and we are getting excited to welcome both new students and children who have been coming back to us year after year to experience the fun and improve their language skills.

In our blog post of a few months ago entitled Protecting Your Child from Cyber Bullying at Boarding School, we discussed the often-serious issue of cyber bullying and how school staff and parents alike can take responsibility for prevention and care. In this article, we share with you what Brillantmont does to tackle cyber bullying.

This year Ms Tonge has coordinated a number of incredible activities for our international students at Brillantmont as well as continuing to stimulate students in her humanities courses. In this staff spotlight, she shares with us some of her highlights of teaching at Brillantmont International School and how she got to where she is today.

The spring term at Brillantmont International School is always full of new activities, exam preparation, team sports, drama and music events, field trips and much more. This blog will provide some of the highlights from spring 2016 and give you a sense of all the fun and learning that students at our international school experience. 

“When our daughter Nanako first attended a summer programme at Brillantmont, we realized that Mr. Pasche and other teachers as well as school staff treated her as if she were their family.  We were truly grateful to all of them and decided to let her go back to Brillantmont next summer.  Now she has many friends all over the world and is excited to return to Brillantmont as a regular student in September this year.”

In this short Q&A, Mr. Mclean, the Brillantmont Assistant Academic Head, shares with us some of his story and his passion for international education. He provides insight into why he loves to work with the students at Brillantmont International School and what he associates with the Brillantmont family. 

As the winter snow melts and the sun spends more time smiling down on us, the preparation for summer school is heating up. Where did you go to summer school? 

“Let’s remember that Lausanne is the Olympic Capital, home of the IOC and has great sports facilities. It is also a city full of students – more than 30’000 study in Lausanne each year.” ~ Mr. Pasche, Director at Brillantmont International School
