Summer is fast approaching and so are thoughts of summer school for both parents and students. Brillantmont International School provides a fantastic Summer Course that highlights language immersion and cross-cultural exploration in a rigorous yet fun environment. Here are some highlights from a day in the life of our Summer School students. 

Brillantmont International School in Switzerland offers a unique summer school experience for students from all over the world. The following are highlights from an interview with Mr. Pasche, the headmaster of Brillantmont, regarding this incredible opportunity for your children. 

Switzerland offers a diverse array of both private and state schools. Each of the twenty-six cantons has authority over their own public schools, creating quite a bit of variety among their educational institutions. It can be difficult to make the right choice for your child when it comes to their middle school and high school education. Some parents look in their neighborhood for the nearest school and send their child there. However, others broaden their search to include the whole country or sometimes even the whole world to find the best place for their children. Which kind of parent are you?

Parents from all over the world often spend many hours researching the best place to send their child to summer school, and Switzerland is often at the top of their list.

Summer may yet be some months away, but spots in the Brillantmont Summer Course (starting in July) are filling up quickly and demand is high. It’s not too late to find out more and register your child for summer school in Switzerland. Here are highlights of what to expect from this summer session.

It’s been some time since our last post as we have been re-organising our website, but now we’re back, bringing you news and updates from the school. The blog gives you the chance to hear different voices – parents, students, staff, alumni and to get a feel for life at Brillantmont and beyond.

Out and about  :

The term has already been very busy with lots of sports fixtures, university visits, various extra-curricular programmes and weekend excursions. Highlights include a trip to Venice and Florence during the October break; a challenging mountain hike up the Weisshorn peak and discovering Swiss folklore traditions at the “Désalpe” in Charmey. A student delegation is currently in Singapore where they are participating in a Model United Nations conference whilst back at BM, a guest author will lead workshops in a celebration of all things literary as part of our annual Reading Week. 

Lausanne houses a number of exclusive private international schools that parents from all over the world select for their children. The location on Lake Geneva in the heart of the French-speaking Romandie region of Switzerland, provides a culturally rich and safe environment. Across the lake is France and only a short train ride away, students can access many of the beautiful landscapes of the Swiss Alps as well as the bustling cities of Zürich, Lucerne, and Lugano, to name just a few.
