You may read an edited version of the article here and find the [link to International School Parent here](https://www.internationalschoolparent.com/articles/your-guide-to-a-levels/). Thank you to International School Parent for the opportunity to talk about a qualification that is at the heart of Brillantmont learning!   # **Your Guide to A-Levels**   A-Levels are an internationally recognised university entrance qualification and yet there are many misconceptions about their academic rigour, the ‘freedom’ they afford students, and their outcomes.   A-levels (Advanced Level qualifications) are a crucial part of the education system in the United Kingdom and are typically taken by students aged 16 to 18 during their last two years of Secondary school. A-Levels are the most frequently sat university entrance qualification with over 10,000 schools in 160 countries teaching A-Level courses. Do you miss catching up with old friends and reliving your memories of Brillantmont, the oldest Swiss boarding school to be owned and run by the same family?    Here at Brillantmont, we had the joy of recently welcoming many of our alumni back on campus. Whether it's been 10 years or 50 since your graduation, school reunions are a magical way of bringing people together. This was proven at Brillantmont's 140th anniversary event on June 3rd, which saw over 300 alumni returning back to their alma mater in Switzerland from all corners of the world. Some came from as far away as Australia and California and we are truly touched that they made such a great effort to be with us.   [Read More](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/the-power-of-school-reunions-140th-anniversary) [All posts](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/all) ### Subscribe to our blog ### Connect with us - [![BM Instagram - Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hs-fs/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Misc%20photos/BM%20Instagram%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png?width=31&height=31&name=BM%20Instagram%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png)](https://www.instagram.com/brillantmont_is/) - [![BM Facebook - Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hs-fs/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Misc%20photos/BM%20Facebook%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png?width=31&height=31&name=BM%20Facebook%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png)](https://www.facebook.com/Brillantmont) - [![BM YouTube - Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hs-fs/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Misc%20photos/BM%20YouTube%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png?width=31&height=31&name=BM%20YouTube%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png)](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiMx5RjHvx5Fb0tzKtZwOmg)   ### Search the Blog Search Google [![Register to visit our School](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/162775/d634f6cf-8be3-4911-b92c-108217b2347f.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/162775/d634f6cf-8be3-4911-b92c-108217b2347f) ### Tags - [Swiss Boarding School (244)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/swiss-boarding-school) - [Study in Switzerland (172)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/study-in-switzerland) - [Boarding School (112)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/boarding-school) - [international school (108)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/international-school) - [Swiss Summer School (61)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/swiss-summer-school) ### Newest Posts ![](https://dc.ads.linkedin.com/collect/?pid=537066&fmt=gif)
