We Celebrate our 135th Birthday with an Alumni Luncheon

Written by Sarah Frei | 25-Jul-2017 15:26:00

Last week we had a lovely celebration of Brillantmont International School’s 135th birthday! The weather was sunny and hot as alumni of all ages gathered on our campus to remember their time at the school and immerse themselves in the wonderful legacy BM has built. Below, enjoy some of the photos from the afternoon.

The event included a delicious luncheon where traditional raclette was served along with fine wines. Alumni also had the opportunity to tour the school, seeing all of the familiar places as well as new updates that were made since their time. The new athletic centre was one building that was new to some of the former students.

Many of the alumni brought their families with them, including young children, to share their old home and memories with. To many alumni, Brillantmont represents a home-away-from-home, even now when they are grown and with their own families. Those years spent at boarding school abroad always stay near and dear to them.

A fun highlight of the event was an area where the year books from the past 40 years were set up for alumni to look through. Seeing pictures of old friends, field trips, projects, house events, teachers… etc. got everyone reminiscing.

Each alumni went home with a special goodie bag to remember the afternoon by. It included a t-shirt, Brillantmont ball cap,  pens, and the latest school brochure featuring all the latest programmes.

We would like to give a big thank you to everyone who attended the event. Such a long and successful legacy does not get built without the hundreds of students, parents, teachers, staff, and friends that support and celebrate this school every year. Here is to another 135 years to come!
