Yet, there is one domain, known to an exclusive elite - boarding schools. Founded decades ago, they are considered among the best in the world and offer an internationally recognised education, which opens doors worldwide. Switzerland has a long history of hosting students from all over the world in its exceptional private boarding schools. The multicultural landscape, with four official languages - French, German, Italian and Romansch – is conducive to an international community, in which students can live and breathe intercultural understanding on a daily basis. The safety and security, the discretion and the very exclusiveness are all factors which appeal to those families who seek something unique for their child. Switzerland is an amazing place to live and learn.     [Read More](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/swiss-boarding-school-education-is-like-no-other) ## [Exciting new school year at Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/exciting-new-school-year-at-brillantmont) October 5, 2021 | [0 comments](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/exciting-new-school-year-at-brillantmont#comments-listing)| by [Sarah Frei](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/author/sarah-frei) [![Sarah Frei](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Sarah%20Frei%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.jpg "Sarah Frei")](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/author/sarah-frei) [![](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hubfs/2021%20-%202022%20School%20Year/2021-22%20BM%20Photos/September%202021%20images/Gruyeres%20and%20Moleson%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School%205.jpg) ](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/exciting-new-school-year-at-brillantmont) We’ve already been back at school for a month and so much has happened in our busy BM lives. We are not the new kids on the block! Established in Switzerland in 1882, we have decades of experience in preparing our students for A Level success. Out of all the programmes offered for the 16-18 year old age group, we believe that A Levels is simply the best in terms of how it prepares students for the rigours of university study.   *"Students who have taken Cambridge international A Levels are very well prepared for our curriculum and we find that they have a lot of confidence, but also that they have a good, deep subject knowledge."* - Stuart Schmill, Dean of Admissions, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)   Enjoy this film in which Mr McClean, our Head of Academics, explains why we believe that A Levels are a fantastic key to opening many doors.     [Read More](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/when-it-comes-to-british-a-levels-in-the-lake-geneva-area-trust-the-experts) ## [Why is music integral to life at Brillantmont?](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/why-is-music-is-integral-to-life-at-brillantmont) June 10, 2021 | [0 comments](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/why-is-music-is-integral-to-life-at-brillantmont#comments-listing)| by [Sarah Frei](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/author/sarah-frei) [![Sarah Frei](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Sarah%20Frei%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.jpg "Sarah Frei")](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/author/sarah-frei) [![](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hubfs/2020%20-%202021%20School%20Year/Blog/Brillantmont-rock-band.jpg) ](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/why-is-music-is-integral-to-life-at-brillantmont) Music has always had a place in Brillantmont life and not just amongst the students as we have many musical staff, who share their passion. Our amazing location means we can be in the ski resorts very quickly, enabling our students to hit the slopes every weekend. Despite the pandemic, we've been really lucky as the government allowed ski resorts in Switzerland to stay open as long as they strictly applied measures to protect public health. This has been literally a breath of fresh air for our students. Being able to get out into nature, having fun with friends and breathing the clean, fresh mountain air has given them the invigorating break that they need. They've been able to disconnect from the learning environment and try something different.     [Read More](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/great-ski-week-and-winter-course-experience-for-brillantmont-students) [Previous](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/author/sarah-frei/page/3) [All posts](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/all) [Next](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/author/sarah-frei/page/5) ### Subscribe to our blog ### Connect with us - [![BM Instagram - Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hs-fs/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Misc%20photos/BM%20Instagram%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png?width=31&height=31&name=BM%20Instagram%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png)](https://www.instagram.com/brillantmont_is/) - [![BM Facebook - Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hs-fs/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Misc%20photos/BM%20Facebook%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png?width=31&height=31&name=BM%20Facebook%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png)](https://www.facebook.com/Brillantmont) - [![BM YouTube - Brillantmont International School](https://info.brillantmont.ch/hs-fs/hubfs/2022%20-%202023%20School%20Year/Misc%20photos/BM%20YouTube%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png?width=31&height=31&name=BM%20YouTube%20-%20Brillantmont%20International%20School.png)](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiMx5RjHvx5Fb0tzKtZwOmg)   ### Search the Blog Search Google [![Register to visit our School](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/162775/d634f6cf-8be3-4911-b92c-108217b2347f.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/162775/d634f6cf-8be3-4911-b92c-108217b2347f) ### Tags - [Swiss Boarding School (244)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/swiss-boarding-school) - [Study in Switzerland (172)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/study-in-switzerland) - [Boarding School (112)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/boarding-school) - [international school (108)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/international-school) - [Swiss Summer School (61)](https://info.brillantmont.ch/international-boarding-school-blog/topic/swiss-summer-school) ### Newest Posts ![](https://dc.ads.linkedin.com/collect/?pid=537066&fmt=gif)
